Polar alignment using the drift method explanation

#1

Post by Slabs1960 »

This is the best explanation I have ever seen. Explained in simple terms.

Reverse for the southern hemisphere (North instead of South, for example)
APT uses this method (DARV) that automates the process.

Another explanation:
Philip
Scopes: Orion ST80-A, Celestron NexStar 6SE, Celestron 6" Refractor. Celestron Focal Reducer/ Corrector (F6.3)
Mounts: Celestron Advanced VX, Celstron SE Single Fork Mount, Manfrotto Camera Tripod.
Cameras: Canon 1000D, Canon 1100D. Binos: Celestron SkyMaster 15x70.
