Apologies for any clouds.

Well I went and saw the scope, nice condition, owner knowledgable life long astronomer. Mentioned the forum to Dave, sounds as if it’s not his thing, but he will take a look. Result, a successful purchase and a nice addition to the stable.

Nice looking rig. I have eyed scopes about like that for a long time. Will be interested in what you think about it after you can get it out. :)

Hi Bill, It could be a while - the south UK is never an astronomers paradise, but this year is really taxing; clear skies an as rare as hens teeth.
Cheers,

Tony.

Congrats on the new acquisition. Nice little wide-field scope. It seems your guide scope almost outweighs it?

Hi Bill, It could be a while - the south UK is never an astronomers paradise, but this year is really taxing; clear skies an as rare as hens teeth.
With the way my consistent eyepiece purchases have pulled in clouds, and your condition in south UK, there should be someplace in the mid-Atlantic with really clear skies! ;)
Whenever you do have the opportunity to try out your new scope, I will be interested in how things go with it. :)

You have a point, not quite, 60 mm Antares Versascope, fitted a bit better with the SCT, it’s true 😉
Cheers,

Tony.

One very careful owner I’m pleased to say, it is in fact 3 years old… I’m in love with the finish already.
Cheers,
