I have made a few of those though not in the Takahashi class.

I wonder about my ST120 although Ed gave it a pretty good review. Thinking an 80-90mm APO might serve me better right now.

Ed Ting.....yes I also thought his videos were "interesting and somewhat amusing" until I watched his review of the Meade LX90ACF, my favourite scope, I thought that was terrible with a lot of misconceptions that would not be helpful at all to any newcomer using this scope.....I pointed out these mistakes thinking that he would do a follow up to rectify his mistakes......not a chance!
