Thanks Mark and Mary!

Been spending some time with the scope between other things. Getting ready to do a general wipe down and cleaning of the OTA and mount/tripod.

There was a couple of small fungus spots between the crown and flint. I removed the lens cell this afternoon and cleaned up the two small spots. Good as new now. :)

At present, I have no way of securing a diagonal to the focuser tube. Awaiting a part for that. Only other issue that needs some attention is a slightly bent counter-weight bar. Not sure what to do about that. Might take it down to a local machine shop and see if they can straighten it for me.

Oh, and I need to re-felt the rings. I need to pick up some thicker felt as what I currently have is way too thin.

And I need to figure out how to adjust the altitude of the mount. I've got some studying to do.

This mount is very robust. They certainly did not cut corners with material and workmanship in those days. :)

You could look into a focuser upgrade to a 2-speed 2" Crayford. Agena astro Has GSO's for a variety of tube ID's I put one on an f11.2 80mm that came bundled with a StarSeeker IV mount. the hole pattern for that matched up perfectly.

Hi Dave! A couple of Zeiss lens wipes made short work of it. :D

And thanks to your website I got the altitude adjustment figured out. :)
