First (day)light Celestron/Vixen Giant 20x80
Once thing for sure - they need a sturdy mount, handheld or monopod won't do. Not so much matter of weight and size, but the higher power. I took a look at Venus and even with binos rested on the balcony rail Venus was doing crazy dance. Next time I will use a fluid photo head (because this is what I have). However, I have felling that I need to start looking for a good parallelogram mount.

Not sure about Nikon, but don't Oberwerk and APM outsource production to the same company?Lady Fraktor wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 7:14 pm A friend has 3 different sizes of the APM and goes on and on... and on about them
