These Orion GiantView ED 16x80 binoculars are great. Just got in viewing the area of Cygnus between Albireo and Deneb up to Lyra's Vega. Stars were all pin points. Vega and the Albireo twins almost pin points. Vega was white with a hint of blue. Vega's appearance did not surprise me, because a daytime test on leaves showed no false color. Albireo showed a beautiful deep orange golden color. The twin star showed a hint of faded green. The 3D effect on the Albireo twins is what binoculars are all about.
Stars are sharp to about 85 percent to the edge. I can take in the entire 4 degree view, thanks to the 21mm eye relief. Focus adjustments are very smooth. These binoculars have a true aperture of 83mm. The lens covers stay on, which I really like. The binoculars are well built, strong and heavy. Really glad I got these.
The bad news is the Orion Resolux 7x50 binoculars had a slight grinding defect when focusing. I was going to have another pair shipped to me, but decided to get the Orion Ed GiantView 16x80 that blow my 20x80 Zhumells out of the water. Left click the images.
