Re: Optica 11 x 80's
New ones with some coatings, distributed in Germany by Danubia, achieve on the eBay prices around 150 EUR

Re: Optica 11 x 80's
The ones JG has referenced have an identical case to mine as well. I understand that the Japanese company Carton were the manufacturers, but they were re-badged by others in a similar way to the Chinese Kunming binoculars now.
These were top quality in their day, and mine have excellent, very sharp optics with an unusually large "sweet spot", but they don't have modern ED glass, coatings and prisms; so they have a dimmer view compared to their modern counterparts. They have almost imperceptible
The last time I saw some advertised (on a NZ site a fews years back) they were asking around $A150.
All the best,
Dean
Binos: Steiner Wildlife XP 10x26, Swarovski 8x30 Habicht, Zeiss SFL 8x40, Vanguard Endeavour 10.5x45, Fuji FMTR-SX 10x50, Tak 22x60, Orion Resolux 15x70
Eyepieces: way too many (is that possible?), but I do like my TV 32mm plossl, 13mm Nagler T6, 27mm Panoptic and 3-6mm Nagler zoom, plus Fujiyama 18mm and 25mm orthos and Tak 7.5mm LE

Re: Optica 11 x 80's
Thanks Michael, Seems times have changed. Now it's a coffee shop.helicon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 3:16 pm @AstroBee there was an Optica b/c store in Oakland at 4100 MacArthur Blvd. Went out of business in the 1990's. I used to buy eyepieces from there on occasion. They were importers of high-quality optics almost exclusively from Japan which they sold under the Optica b/c brand.
