Curious what brand you have. Also curious about people who dislike them and why. Obviously, EP cost will be double, but maybe collimation hassles?

I have a set that is branded by Stellarvue though they are the same as Celestron, Williams Optics and all of the others that look like these.
I did have them re-worked by Siebert Optics after dropping them while in Canada.
They work quite well and I use them for almost all observing.

You do need to make sure that they will meet your pupil distance and some bulky eyepiece barrels will not be able to be used.

I recently bought a pair of 10x50 Nikon Action Extremes. Excellent, sharp, high contrast optics. Rugged.

I like my 15x70 Oberworks too, but they are heavy..

I don't have one yet. It's on my wish list.

One thing that should be mentioned is that different telescopes may require different OCA powers to bring things to focus due to the longer lightpath length.
Sometimes a 2x barlow will suffice and most will come with a 1.6x OCA.
I have some from 1.3x to 1.8x depending on the telescope I am using.
Also a 1.25" prism is shorter than a regular mirror diagonal and a 2" prism is shorter than a 2" mirror so you may in extreme cases need to play mix and match.

I really like the Orion mini-giants :)
I have the 9x63, they are still made in Japan

I think some people are mixing up binoviewers with binoculars.

I used to have the Baader Mark V and still have the Baader Maxbright. Like them both. Downsizing my kit led to letting the Mark V set go. It was heavy on some OTAs.
