Are these for real?

My luck doesn't normally run well so I find it hard to believe what I'm seeing.
Years ago on the way to the lake in TN ( We had a ontoon boat then) we stopped at a convenience store for some drinks and snacks ant out of the corner of my eye I saw a10x50 binocular on the shelf for less than $20 so I sprang for them, used them a couple of times and stuffed them in a drawer. I got them out and chcked the name and series. Brunton Lite Tech 1x50 WA The ffov printed on them is 367'@1000yds.

I believe you have an older discontinued pair that are not the waterproof nitrogen purged pair in the link. They have slightly different specs including the field of view, the waterproof ones have a 330' field at 1000 yards. The older discontinued WA pair has the 367' at 1000 yards and was commonly sold for $20-30.

It seems my luck is holding true to form. Still a good set to practice adjustments, alignments, etc.

My Simmons Prosport 10x50s are similar (if not the exact same thing) and have served me well for many, many years. Bought them at Wal-Mart for about $25. I replaced them with some Oberwerk 8x56s and gave them to my son, so now he uses them. But they are still working strong and providing good astronomical views.
