Re: Explore Scientific Twilight II Alt-Az mount
Guilty as charged, Bryan.
My TWII sits outside 24/7/365 with that setting circle installed. When I decide to take a couple of fracs to the desert, it amazes folks how fast one can put a target in the eyepiece using the circle and a Wixey. I don't understand why everyone doesn't install one. Eazie Peezy.

Any chance you can repost your setting circle thread over here? I used a DIY az circle and a Wixey before I got my push-to encoders.

That was over five years ago. I suggest you just go look at it yourself via this link:

Stupid AF would only let me load five pics to the blog, but I posted a total of eight pics in this link:

Best I can do for you.

Yes Bryan, I have made a setting circle using Lowjiber's instructions for my Twilight 1 and it works great.
ES AR 102 102mm, f/6.5, ES 254mm f/5 DOB, Obie 10x50, GSO SV 30mm, ES 68° 20mm, ES 82° 14mm, 11mm, 8.8 mm, 6.8mm, 4.7mm. Twilight 1 mount.

Re: Explore Scientific Twilight II Alt-Az mount
I noticed this morning that my TW1 mount head was wobbling on my Manfrotto pod. Strange as it was fine last night for a short session before the clouds took over. It wouldn't screw back down onto the pod bolt but did screw down no problem on the TW pod, so it must be the bolt on the Frotto.
I know there's a mismatch since the TW1 is an M10 and I use a 3/8 bolt on the pod, but I've been able to tighten it down no problem before. I'm thinking maybe the 3/8 bolt got partially stripped somehow, but I didn't have time for a close inspection this morning.
