Cargo Company Lost Advanced VX Tripod

Hello dear friends,
Today Turkish carrier company looks lost my second hand Celestron AVX tripod (not the mounts itself) while transport. (If they don't find it tomorrow) I wonder in worst case can I use my 8SE tripod somehow instead of original AVX tripod? Do you have any idea about it?

That's too bad. I am not sure if firmware on your 8SE handset will be compatible with AVX, since 8SE is AltAz and AVX is EQ mount.

I got AVX handset right now, its not lost. Only tripod.

The center holding bolt may fit the AVX mount but you may need to make a ring/ adapter for the bottom of the mount to sit snug on the SE mounting plate.
The SE tripod may be a bit undersized depending on what telescope you are planning on using.
If you do not mind doing some woodwork you could always make a wooden tripod out of hardwood as well.

My bad. You can give it a shot, most of my tripods interchangeable between the mounts. If the central bolt is compatible and connect tightly you may use the 8SE tripod for now.

Problem solved, company send lost tripod today. Thanks for your advices anyway.
