Stop moving Dammit part 2
Hello everybody,
If you've read part 1 you know what is up. Wednesday night I was camping in a really great dark site. I got set up and instead of using the power pack I plugged in the Factory cable that came with the AVX mount into the cigarette lighter of my truck. Powered up, two star align, 4 star calibrate, ASPA . Launched PHD2 went to Vega and let her rip. Actually it was working great and did so for a couple of hours......PHD2 tells me "Telescope stopped slewing". So I hit alt-s and it picks another star and I hit the green button. Works fine for awhile then stopped slewing again. The wind picked up to fierce so I packed it in. Last night I set up again but this time I used the power pack....OMG it worked so good! Steady as a rock and 4 minute exposures looked great!
Go figger? Maybe tomorrow night?????
