So Far So Good

Just got my new CGX-L today and after using everything but a crowbar and blowtorch, I finally got the tripod into my JMI Wheelie Bars!!! Everything else went pretty well until I put the NP127is/QHY16200A and the TV-85/60Da (still no word on my ASI6200MM) and tried to balance them. It seems that I didn’t get the SBS Adapter quite tight enough and both scopes and cameras almost slid out of the mount....luckily my wife Patty was right by my side to tighten it up or I would have been out some serious Bucks!!! I don’t want to jinx myself but even with cords dangling everywhere and a lousy job of balancing and just hurriedly hooking everything up...it seems to be guiding pretty good...RMS .10. So far I’m a happy camper....still a LOT TO LEARN...totally different than my CGEM-DX!

Oh I forgot to mention, Anthony at ADM designed the side by side adapter for the CGX-L and I needed an adapter for my Polemaster. He FaceTimed me on Wednesday to make sure that I got what I needed and I had it delivered today!!! THAT IS SOME GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I would highly recommend his products...I’ve bought plenty of them but had never talked to him....he’s a GREAT GUY!! Thanks Anthony!!

Awesome! Did you say you already have your guiding error down to 0.1 RMS? If so, you're killing me! I can't get my CEM 60 below 0.8 even with only half the max AP load on it.

Anthony is great. He customized one of his pole master mounts to accommodate my ASI 120MC and didn't even charge me extra for it!

The SBS sliding off the saddle is the stuff of nightmares. I always attach it by myself and the setup is so unwieldy that it could go "Kerplop" off the mount before the saddle screws are tightened, at any moment. I'm cringing just thinking about it. It is a procedure that needs 3 hands!

Good luck with the final setup and fine-tuning.

Cheers,
JT
