Yes it would work if you want to pay that much money. You can assemble an excellent autoguiding setup for around half of that.

I liked the idea of it being small and very light and it seems well mounted.
The Orion StarShoot Pro camera alone is $400. The autoguider package is $480 and the mount looks crappy.
As long as it works well, I'm OK with the price.
