Very basic question about Astro Imaging cameras
A friend has a drawer full of older imaging devices - a couple of Atiks, a Starlight Express, and a couple of others.
Yesterday evening I plugged them one by one into my laptop to see if Sharpcap would recognise them. None of them seemed to be able to provide an image just by plugging them in.
What would people expect? - is it normally the case that drivers need to be installed separately for different cameras before they can send a feed to Sharpcap?

You would probably need drivers for all of these kinds of cameras.

Re: Very basic question about Astro Imaging cameras
First off, make sure the camera is actually plugged into a telescope and somewhere near focus. That's the only way you'll know if you get an image. Secondly, yes and no to the driver's question, if the camera itself uses standard WDM Windows drivers for video then Sharpcap should recognize them. If not, yes they will need their particular drivers installed before the camera can be plugged in and expected to work.
