Will a LP filter help Live View

Question,

Will a light pollution filter like the Optolong L-Pro Light Pollution Telescope 2" Camera Filter make it easier for Live View on my Canon to work?

I can get live view to work when I point at a street light about 100 feet away and focus on that with a camera lens but I don't believe that's an for option when trying to focus using my OTA.

Update:

I got Live View working when Jupiter showed up from behind the instant cloud cover that wasn't supposed to be there. Lots of light there. And that's when I found that my alignment was way off, elongated Galilean moons.

Modifying your camera should make live view work for bright stars. It did for my Fuji. Filters will just make it harder.

If you use a Bahtinov mask to focus, it is much better to take a longer exposure shot to check focus than to use live view. I use a UHC filter with my DSLR and that is what I do.
