I'm not looking for total manual everything. just like one of the semi-manual modes like AV/TV/P iso ect?

Is it worth getting 70D for 480$?
it costs almost 4 times more than my canon 500D

and I want to know if its worth it

Does it have good continuous video autofocus without having to manually hold down a button to trigger autofocus?

if it doesnt have AV/TV or iso control during video. its a nope for me. would anyone be able to give me some alternatives that DO have AV/TV/iso control during video recording? Something in same price range 480$ or so?? I dont have thousands to spend

The canon SL1 seems to have decent video autofocusing capability. servo autofocus mode?? I might be able to get away with using that. also higher FPS 1080p recording. so another plus.

in manual mode during video it seems I could use a fixed aperture and shutter speed. but have AUTO ISO. Maybe that would be good enough?
