Just received Baader T2 BBHS diagonal, nose piece, and 1.25" Click-Lock eye piece holder. Even being a novice the build quality and self centering click-lock system is great..no more fiddling with screws. The locking system employs a 'pawl' like system in lieu of compression ring so the release is clean without any binding of the eyepiece. The Baader will live on my ES 102 refractor, replacing the standard issue from Explore Scientific. BBHS is noticeably more compact than the ES item. Weight BBHS assembly: 9.8oz(280g) vs ES 15.6oz(446g) with 1.25 eyepiece adapter. Not to diminish Explore Scientific in the least bit, the BBHS is simply in a different class. Now if it would just cease raining for some visual.
A little plug for AgenaAstro.com. Ordered late Tuesday night, items arrived on the following Monday(no postal service on Sundays). To my shame I had transposed two digits in my address. Wednesday a very pleasant lady from AA called me to verify and correct the address. Did I mention the free shipping?
Thanks again to everyones help making a choice!
Mickey K.

Baader makes nice equipment. I love my 2" Baader prism, my favorite diagonal.

I thought you don't like prisms Gabby, particularly in fracs. :D

I have no idea how I ever gave that impression??
If I did not like them I never would have spent the amount I have on my Baader :)
