Yesterday was really something to see
Yesterday morning there was a redish sun all day a redish sun

It looks like you may have had some high altitude smoke or dust in the air.

Even here the skies are a bit orange today. Reminds me of the omnipresent wildfires of the last two autumns, where lots of folks walked around wearing masks (and this was before covid-19).
