Sun Filter Help

I really would like to look at the sun through my telescope. I noticed that images of the sun are in different colors. Is there a safe filter that will show the sun in a more deep yellow/orange color. I own a Meade 120mm f8 achromatic refractor. Is the below image possible with a filter?

Dang no replies. I think this beautiful image of the sun is a stacked image. What filter will get me close to it?

A HA filter is what you want... With the exception of Daystar (there may be others) filter, you're looking at a dedicated solar scope.

A simple filter is inadequate. You need one of these

Don't try it with a plain old Halpha filter. Not safe.

Yes, it should. I spent several afternoons with a rig consisting of an AP refractor and the Quark and it was really really nice. It's tremendous watching the prominences change in real time.

Thanks very much. I saved all the information onto my USB astronomy hobby disk. A pair of 20x100 binoculars or a 6" aperture refractor will have to come first.

With either of the binoculars or refractor you can do white light solar observing of surface granulation and sunspots.
Baader Solar Film is an excellent low cost way to start solar observing.

The color on your photo in the OP is actually H-alpha narrow band not the Sun as a whole. That's likely why some of us went down that rabbit hole.
