I new piece of kit on the way.

I have ordered this adapter so that I can mount my Pentax XW directly to my d810 Nikon for eyepiece projection.
I don't know if it will work out, but I thought I would give it a try.
Has anyone directly attached an EP to their camera in this way?

Looks like an interesting new piece of gear Mark. I hope it works out for you.

I figured the education is worth a few bucks. :-)
I will definitely post my results. I should have it today or tomorrow.
Thank you Michael.

The adapter thread is installed on the T ring, then attached directly to my pentax eyepiece.

I put it on my 80mm f6, my 100mm f9, and my f10 8" meade sct. The sky was brutal but I wanted to see if I could make it work.

It does work and it did a pretty good job under very poor conditions. Now I just need a nice sky.

Why do this?, you ask...just because I can. :-)
It was very inexpensive, cheap actually, and it is educational to me.

I have used my kK orthos in an addapter tube, but my Pentax will not fit in the tube and I wanted to try it.

From the results tonight with a very bad seeing and transparency condition it performed best in the 100mm f9 frac.

I may need a field flattener.

Baader Hyperions can be rigged in the same way.

Nice! What would be targets for such set up, Moon and planets?

Yes. Planetary.
Although I may try some double stars.
