Random - Better a small cooler than a slow cooker, neh?

Sorry, watching the clock until I can leave for my dark site. Hot but at least it's clear. I hope.

The polyethylene is just to soft for me to work with. It is hard to get decent cutouts. This craft foam is a lot firmer. I also purchased a better/sharper knife. Will give it a go before my next dark site trip, maybe sooner.

It is a great idea, if one is used to take along a number of eyepieces.
Since I am used to bring along 3 or 4 eyepieces and a barlow every session, I just keep them ( caps on ) in the pockets of my vest or coat.
Refractors in frequency of use : *SW Evostar 120ED F/7.5 (all round ), * Vixen 102ED F/9 (vintage), both on Vixen GPDX.
GrabnGo on Alt/AZ : *SW Startravel 102 F/5 refractor( widefield, Sun, push-to), *OMC140 Maksutov F/14.3 ( planets).
Most used Eyepieces: *Panoptic 24, *Morpheus 14, *Leica ASPH zoom, *Zeiss barlow, *Pentax XO5.
Commonly used bino's : *Jena 10X50 , * Canon 10X30 IS, *Swarovski Habicht 7X42, * Celestron 15X70, *Kasai 2.3X40

Before I bought my Apache case, I used a cheap fishing vest also.

The weight of my new eyepieces are to heavy for the cooler's shelf. So I decided to place the eyepieces at the bottom on a small towel. A hand warmer is placed beneath the towel. The cooler seems to act as a dew shield for the eyepieces. The cooler as a dew shield and hand warmer work together like a charm. Left click the image.
