New Diagonal

#1

Post by Greenman »

So I have been thinking about getting an upgrade on my stock diagonal. I read this in Sky at Night https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/revi ... ls-99-200/

And thought I'll go for an Antares, but 1.25. Rung up RVO ”ah, we only have the 2” in stock, but you can have it tomorrow”. Decision made a fast delivery - sure enough just before 9 O’clock said parcel arrived one 2” SCT diagonal with 1.25 ” adapter. It is huge - they shipped me the forth bridge!

Seriously though it is a bright - I'm sure this is a rebalancing job. I do like Antares equipment, economic, but well sound.
Cheers,

Tony.

Antares makes some very good kit.
I am sure you will enjoy the improved views as well.

No doubt about that, the difference between the stock diagonal and the new one, just eyeballing them tells you that. The biggest improvements made to my 6SE have all come from advice garnered from this forum, and your good self. :D
Cheers,

Tony.
