New Diagonal Mirror

#1

Post by Jones »

Picked up this Celestron Diagonal in a box of parts off ebay.
The mirror did not look so good, but with a minor diameter of 30mm could not find a correct size replacement in USA. Enter the direct from China sellers on ebay. One showed up recently with mirror sizes every 5mm. Took 3 weeks to arrive and looked very nice, thicker too, so maybe higher quality. A nice refurbishment of a favorite 90.

Ebay search: short axis secondary mirror.
1st on list should be the source.
Arizona- where the sky's are not cloudy all night.

Triple lensed fracs are so yummy when looking at planets.
