Any idea what this is?

It's likely the field stop and field lens. It is not completely unheard of to find optics in the barrel. Rare, but not impossible. What I'm curious about is the what the barrel is.... all myEP barrels don't have any lens in them... so it's the barrel I'm most curious about.

Not really interchangeable with other eyepieces.....
