The 127SLT Mak-Cass comes with 25mm an 9mm EPs, I also have a Gosky 32mm Plossl.
Is there any advantage to picking up a 40mm? Would anything practical and useful between the 9mm and the 25mm sizes be a good next buy? How about a Barlow lens?
Based on what I've read here and there on the interwebs, with this telescope there is little use for anything less than 9mm due to the light polluted skies here in the north suburbs of Chicago.
No AP expected, eyeglass and non-eyeglass wearers will use the telescope.

Celestron Nexstar+ 127 SLT, several budget plossl eyepieces, Celestron 8-24mm zoom EP and a 12.5mm illuminated double reticle EP, Svbony SV205 camera w/.5 focal reducer, Celestron SkyMaster 20x80 binos on a 40 yr old QuickSet PanHead tripod, Stellarium, Sharpcap and ManyCam on my laptop, SkyView and Nightshift on my phone and a dandy little $9 red-light flashlight.
A barlow with that scope has little to no use in my opinion. The 32mm plossl yields the widest field possible in that scope, so the 40mm is a waste. I would probably want a couple of lengths between the 9mm and the 25mm. The scope is f/12 and I would match that to a 12mm EP and likely would look for an 18mm (20mm is close enough).
I found a 12.5 and 20mm Plossl EP in my budget range and they'll arrive Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for the sizing guidance.
