Yes. I have the 6.5mm HD-60, which serves as my highest power eyepiece (on my 6" SCT). I am happy with it.

Meade announced in April this year they were discontinuing them though I see on the Meade website they are still showing them for sale.
They stated the reason as the identical Celestron X-Cel LX sold more as their price was less so Meade could not compete.
Who knows with these two though....

They are very similar in performance. I consider all three good "upgrade from stock Plossls" EPs , in particular if you buy them used. At times I had full sets of Dual EDs and X-Cel LX, and a few HD60. HD60 and X-Cel LX are identical in performance. They have a slight edge over Dual ED. In side by side tests X-Cel LX and HD-60 had a bit less light scatter than Dual ED. The effective eye relief is also better on HD-60 and X-Cel LX. I can see the full FOV with eyeglasses on, but not in Dual ED.

Yep, this is great price. With a bit of patience you can find HD60 or X-Cel LX used but in great shape in $40-50 range on CN/Astromart, eBay or places like Amazon and BH. At that price they are good value (as performance/price ratio goes).
