Hello all,
another blast from the old times of Dollond before 1800, is this achromatic doublet eyepiece, manufactured by Hensoldt for the rifle scopes,

Just curious, what would you think the AFOV of that eyepiece would be? I am guessing it would be relatively narrow, but resolution and contrast could be very good in the central area of the field, especially if one were made with modern coatings.

Many eyepieces, just not really expensive ones.

This eyepiece has been evidently designed and manufactured for the rifle scopes, so the useableMistrBadgr wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 2:37 pm Just curious, what would you think the AFOV of that eyepiece would be? If properly polished and multicoated, what I am not sure about, this eyepiece with its minimum of glass could be a good performer on the faint fuzzies requiring low magnifications.
