Felt my Meade LX70 120mm f/ 8 refractor wanted some attention. So I used it for the test comparisons. Tested it against the GSO 25mm
plossl and Svbony 6mm on Orion. At 41 magnification the AgenaAstro showed the trapezium stars just as sharp as theGSO 25mm. Zoomed in to 125 magnification and each trapezium star showed an airy disk. Using a barlow at 166 magnification the AgenaAstro showed four airy
disk again, and just as sharp as the Svbony 6mm. TheGSO 25mm is sharp out to over 90 percent to the edge. The Agenaastro is sharp out to
about 80 percent to the edge. Eighty percent is not bad since I will be using it for high mag on the Moon, planets, and star splitting. Zooming in and out is really cool, but I had to refocus a little once at the magnification desired. The eye relief is good at all magnifications. The lowest field of view is 40 degrees, which is not bad at all. The eyepiece is mechanically very smooth. Using this zoom eyepiece on the Moon with my 150mmf/ 8 is going to be a real pleasure.
