Thumbnails in the Astrophotography subforum?

Would it be possible to have thumbnails in the Astrophotography part of the forum? I really liked that feature on "the old forum", where you got a preview of all of the images/posts without going into each thread.

It's doesn't appear that the phpBB software has an extension that can do that easily. The only one that is operational requires the person posting the image to go through a number of image posting steps to create an image that can be displayed and at this point it doesn't make sense to even bother with it. So to answer your question.
Not yet.

Hopefully at some point one of the contributors will pick it up and create an extension that will make it easy.

I see. Was "the other forum" using a different software?

Yes, We are using phpBB3 which is a 'open-source' software. It has some great features and is very secure. Plus updates and upgrades don't cost anything so it was the way to go.

v-Bulletin is a "paid" software and is only as good as the recent release. As long as you want to pay for it, you can keep the security up to date. Plus with the changes to browsers it requires purchasing consistent updates and upgrades just so things continue to work as they should.

I looked at a number of software options and picked this one. It doesn't do everything but it fits the purpose.
