"Edit History"

I notice that the site is now displaying a full history of how many times and when you have edited a post : is this really necessary? I am dyslectic and will from time to time edit a few times until I can "see" all the faults, I don't necessary want everyone to see this?!

Hi Piet,
I don't suffer from dyslexia but I still frequently edit my posts several times after first posting. Looks different after it's posted. I don't look at the editing history and make any judgements. And given that you do suffer from it, that just makes me admire you all the more. I've had two friends with it and I've seen their struggles.

There can be many reasons for multiple edits. Don't worry about it.

cheers

Joe

Sometimes I do a dozen or more edits on my posts. I look at it as you care to make your post read as clearly as it can. So to me, the more edits the more you care.

Cheers,
JT

The way the edit history is supposed to work is, the edit information is only shown if an edit reason is given or the post that is edited is not the last post in a topic.

So if you don't supply a 'reason' for the edit it should not display that your post was edited.

I edit to add links, focus on some interesting tidbit here and there, or explain something more clearly. Otherwise, I start an additional post in the same thread.
