I would suggest starting a PETS topic in the off topic area and see if it takes off. If so we have a few options to promote it.

This is a great idea. Look how many of us have a pet in our avatars and also nicknamed "astrocats" and "astrodogs" in our posts. To combine these into a single thread topic and possibly later into an Off Topic sub-forum sounds like a lot of fun. We could certainly use something cheerful like this on the forum.
