Hello Chas

Anything is possible!

Could you expand on what you mean please?

I think it a useful idea. If I understand correctly. At present one can search for one's posts and eventually find threads that one started. It would take less time to find a thread that oneself or another started if you wanted to revisit a topic or find something that wasn't bookmarked.

Try this:

Click the cog (Advanced Search) to the right of the search box.
In the second box (Search for author:) type the author Name that you're searching for.
Below that click the radio button labelled "First post of topics only"

Then click the Search button.

Is that what you were looking for?

Regards

Graeme

thank you nFA and Graeme.

what I'm looking for is similar to

"search user's posts."

but instead
you can
search all threads started by user.

with search user's posts, I get 341 posts I made.

a "search threads started by user option",

would give a list of all the threads that I started.

do you understand?

the old website had that.
it is highly useful, highly valuable, in my opinion.

thank you for trying,
Charlie

There is a button in the advanced search function that allows you to select "topic title only." Is this what you were looking for?

I believe selecting the option for "First post of topics only" will give you the thread creator - aka topics started by poster.
