Greetings from (a Windy) Wales

Post by Macavity »

Hi Folks!

Greetings from (a windy) Wales UK! My name is Chris.

I first became interested in Astronomy in the 60s... then Work/Life intervened? Onetime Physicist
by trade (Mostly building detectors / cable dragging / shouting at computers!), retirement finally
allowed the time to rediscover some of my former hobbies!

Initially lured by Video Astronomy, I have a go at most things possible w/budget-modest equipment.
An inveterate DIY Astronomer, I have a small Roro observatory + remotely controlled 8" F4 Newt etc.
In recent years I've concentrated more on Solar Imaging (a.k.a waiting for the Solar Maximum?). :D

During the Wind & Rain, I play "bedroom" Guitar (and Ukulele!)
...mess with Electronics, Music (MIDI) Hardware & Software.

I may know some of you already... I look forward to meeting others from the wider Astro world!
