New to "The Sky Searchers"

#1

Post by Timbo1921 »

Good day all.
Tim From Regina, Saskatchewan. Canada. I enjoy taking pics of locomotives, wildlife and landscapes. I happened upon an old friend that I had not seen in 40 years. He had a telescope and apparatus mount on a 6" cement pile 15' in the ground. He showed me his cameras, mounts, computers. All this caught my attention and I was hooked. Now I have to figure out what the heck I am doing.

I am running an EQM-35 pro mount and tripod, I am using a Z50 Nikon and a Skywatcher 62ED. Now let the journey begin, I am totally new at this and don't have a clue what I am doing. I should say, I know some, but it is a massive learning curve. Open to the floor, let me know what I should try to do or not to!

Cheers and clear skies!

Hello Tim, and welcome to TSS. Glad you joined us.

Yes it is a steep learning curve and unfortunately it's a perishable learning curve too. I find that long gaps between Imaging sessions due to weather, stuff gets forgotten.

Anyway, we're here to help.

Cheers,
