Hello from New Orleans

#1

Post by xraygun »

Hi folks,
I have an Etx-80 I bought a few years ago in Washington State.
I found the forum while trying to lookup an old thread about modifying the ETX-90 motor focuser for my 80 and found the forum gone!
A quick search brought me here.
I'm trying to get set up for a camping trip to Ouachita National Forest to do some astrophotography with my new camera and am exploring my options to mount to the ETX-80 as well.

I hope y'all and hale and hearty!

Looking forward to discussion!
Cheers,
Ray

Welcome aboard Ray . Thanks for joining us. My first real scope was a etx70. Great little scopes. Watch how much weight you try and mount to it though. Motors are not the most robust.
Current scopes 16in night sky dobsonian , 80mm synta refractor on a slik professional tripod with a stellarvue m1 mount Meade series 4000 eyepieces. Meade 70mm binoculars. Keep looking up.

In route. Astrotech 102ed refractor :sprefac:
