Hello from Saudi

#1

Post by Deserter »

Hi, my name is Richard, and I'm an expat living in Saudi.

I've been interested in Astrophotography for a couple of years now, and fairly rapidly moved from tripod MW to a Omegon LX3 through a Sky watcher SA 2i and currently I am enjoying using a Fornax Lightrack 2 tracker / DSLR set up with an ASiAirPro.

Looking to move to a GoTo mount next year (likely a Vixen SXD2)

I'm pretty spoilt for Astro here with generally cloudless skies and Bortle 2 dark sky sites within 150 km or so. tempered somewhat by the heat and dust and sand and scorpions.

Looking forward to learning more about this fascinating rabbit hole here :)
