Looks like the antispam software was being a tad over enthusiastic!
Here's your first draft:
Hello! Nice to meet everyone. I am PapawShane, (or just Papaw That's what my grandchildren call me) and I am from Eastern Kentucky, not the greatest place in the world for looking into the sky and beyond, but I take what I can get. I only recently (around 2019) started getting into Astrophotography. I have been a sky/star/planet watcher since I was 14, but grew up poor, and could never really spend any money on it. But, seeing Haley's Comet in 1986 (I think it was 86 anyway haha) through a telescope and my first meteor shower, is what started it all. I am older now, I am retired, live alone and now have a little (not much) means to spend on this. I figured I would find some like minded people to forge friendships with, while learning the ropes of Astrophotography and Astronomy in the process. I was self taught, and really don't know much about the equipment, though I am decent with the locations and names of stars, star clusters and constellations, but I still classify myself as a beginner, maybe just a step above the average Joe hehe. I have two beginners telescopes, an Orion StarBlast Equatorial Reflector Telescope and a Celestron Powerseeker. But, I want to upgrade, and find a good camera and telescope for taking good pictures. I hope I don't end up getting on anyone's nerves for all the questions, and I hope this can be the start of a long lasting relationship, with good friends. Hopefully I can learn enough to get the right equipment (Telescope and Camera) take some great pictures, share them with the community and as I said before, make some good friends in the process.
Sorry my intro post was so long. I have a hard time with short answers. I feel like I need to always explain my answer in as much detail as possible haha.
Side note: I have been using a mount for my telescopes that allows me to use my phone, but I really want to get into much better, higher quality photos.
And don't worry, you won't get on anyone's nerves by asking questions here!
Regards
Graeme
