Upcoming changes to the default style (Black).

#1

Post by Gordon »

We have recently been having some problems with the default TSS forum style (Black). This style was created some time ago and the author has abandoned the upkeep. So in order for TSS to do some software upgrades we need to make a change.
We have been testing a new style that is pretty similar called Prosilver (Dark edition). It is currently loaded on our servers and you can try it out by doing the following:

On the left side of the portal page there is a drop down that says BOARD STYLE you can click on that and it will change the board to the new style. Note it will go back once you exit the board, or you can manually change it back the same way.

Should you happen to see something that is not working with the new style, please PM me so I can take a look.

If you are using any of the other styles, they will be staying. All of them are based on the ProSilver style and are stable.

In addition to the “Black” style there are 3 other “Black” styles that will be removed. Black DarkBlue, Black Green and Black Green2. The Prosilver (Dark edition) will replace all of these.

The plan is to do the update later this week so if you have any concerns let us know.

Thanks for all of your co-operation!

The default board style has been changed to prosilver (Dark edition) and the Black, Black DarkBlue, Black Green, and Black Green2 have been disabled.

Better spacing so it is more readable.

Two things:
1 - Avatars and user mine profile has moved to the right of the screen. Not as useful there as it's not as helpful as a visual cue when I'm looking for something I wanted to come back to.
FIXED - Thank YOU!

2 - The entire forum has been marked "read". No too big a deal as I was caught up in all the sub-forums except astrophysics.
My fault, I just noticed the change in the way entries are color coded.

Looks good so far.

(And a bunch of stuff I'm still trying to fix or find parts for.)

You have the option to change the location of the profile. Go to the UCP (click on your user name at the top of the page) then click on the “profile left” tab. You have the option to change it there.
