Hello all. Sheri and I tried something new tonight. We marinated a flank steak last night and took it out of refrigerator this afternoon. We copied the best of the recipes from the internet and our cook books, and blended our own version. For a 2 pound cut, here is the marinade recipe that we used:
1/3 cup soy sauce (we like Pearl River Bridge)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce (use the good stuff with the tamarind and anchovy extracts)
1 tablespoon of fresh or dried basil
1 tablespoon of minced shallot (or garlic)
1 teaspoon of Coleman's dry mustard
1 tablespoon of dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
1 teaspoon of parsley
Here it is coming out of the air fryer oven, at 400 degrees and 20 minutes time:
Although we started before we got the meat underway, Sheri and I were still hopping in the kitchen to get the other dishes done together. Here is the plated dinner, with the flank steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and fresh cut green beans:
This was a great new experience for us, tasted fantastic, and I hope that you enjoy the photos.
