Hi all. It's been awhile, so I am catching up. Last Monday we cooked the two turkey breast on the PowerXL grill again, and tonight we used the Emeril Lagasse 360 for this meal. It is nice to have both instruments, as each one seems to do something a little better than the other. Hey, this sounds like our telescopes too doesn't it?
Here is tonight's dinner. Air fried breaded boneless pork chops and air fried russet potato wedges, seasoned with olive oil and Emeril's Essence:

Hi Michael. I did an Alaskan Sockeye salmon filet a little over a week ago in the air fryer. Sheri and I are on our fifth Weber kettle after over 50 years. I am still a big charcoal grill fan and even have the official Weber cookbook. However, lately it is so much easier and faster to use the air fryers and avoid the bad outdoor weather (cold, hot, wind, rain, etc.).

Hello all. Sheri and I tried something new tonight. We marinated a flank steak last night and took it out of refrigerator this afternoon. We copied the best of the recipes from the internet and our cook books, and blended our own version. For a 2 pound cut, here is the marinade recipe that we used:
1/3 cup soy sauce (we like Pearl River Bridge)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce (use the good stuff with the tamarind and anchovy extracts)
1 tablespoon of fresh or dried basil
1 tablespoon of minced shallot (or garlic)
1 teaspoon of Coleman's dry mustard
1 tablespoon of dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
1 teaspoon of parsley
Here it is coming out of the air fryer oven, at 400 degrees and 20 minutes time:
Marinated Flank Steak.JPG
Although we started before we got the meat underway, Sheri and I were still hopping in the kitchen to get the other dishes done together. Here is the plated dinner, with the flank steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and fresh cut green beans:
Flank Steak plated up.JPG
This was a great new experience for us, tasted fantastic, and I hope that you enjoy the photos.

Tonight is traditional dish from Uzbekistan, plov :) it was my grandmother's favourite.

Combine meat (lamb, beef or chicken) in oven safe pot / dutch oven, with rice, onions, garlic, shredded carrots peppers, hot Hungarian paprika, tumeric, cumin, bay leaves, water or stock.

Through in oven for an hour or so.

It's in the oven now, stay tuned :)

Hey Marshall (@Makuser ) - I had marinated flank steak last night (and no I didn't see your post). I marinated for 24 hours in garlic and soy sauce with a bit of ground ginger, then cooked on the gas grill at 450 for ten minutes. Came out perfect, some pinkishness in the center and a delicious roast finish at the edges.

Tonight is grilled burgers - I'm even making one for the dog!

Hi all. Well, Sheri and I made some large lemon pepper marinated chicken breasts in the air fryer. I also cooked up a batch of fresh cut green beans. After cooking, I was in such a hurry to plate up, take a picture, and tear into this dish that I spilled some bean juice and chicken juice onto the table place mat. Sorry about that, but boy was this good eating this evening.

Makuser wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2019 9:05 pm Hello Refractordude and all. Sunday afternoon we did my homemade chicken noodle soup. I precook the chicken in the bottom of the 6 qt. stockpot with some peanut oil. Then I I add some chicken stock, water, and the chopped de stringed celery, onions, and peas. Later, I add lots of shell noodles, and some kosher salt, lemon pepper, and fresh parsley. Let it simmer for a good while, so the flavors combine and recombine for new flavors. My wife says this is better than any canned mix or in the restaurants, and we made enough for 2 or 3 days. I was feeling pretty good about it until I read your other thread about eating less chicken.

I enjoyed mouldy cheese with fermented red grape juice yesterday, and I guess I'll do it again today.

I haven't eated yet, but potatoes are boiling and I'm warming up yesterday's deer beefs in brown sauce (with a little red wine in it).
