Space Oddity was the first album I bought! I was at school and didn't have a record player! I still have it.

Wow, that’s amazing. After all these years !
I had a friend of mine who was a David Bowie fanatic, do you remember when the specialty records would come out like they’d be a solid color or they have a picture through the whole thing he literally had anything and everything related to David Bowie

That was probably a bit later. I bought quite a few albums once I started earning and I still have them all. Then switched to cassettes when I started driving. They all got jammed up and thrown out! Some got replaced by the CD version in later years. Bob Dylan Blood on the Tracks being one of them, great album! (I feel another post coming on!)

I played guitar for about six months when my mate moved in in the 90s after his missus threw him out and this is one of the songs I learnt, it's just three chords. (Well it was when I played it!)

The Deputy walks on hard nails and the Preacher rides a mount,
But nothing really matters much, It's Doom alone that counts!

RIP Lord Creator.

The night seems to fade
But the moonlight lingers on
There are wonders for everyone, oh
The stars shine so bright
But they're fading after dawn
There is magic in Kingston town

This song was a big hit in Europe when I was 12, same year as the Moon landing! It was not played much in the US. Rest in peace Jane.

Happy Birthday Mick Jagger. 80 years old yesterday!

More than difficult to pick a favourite Rolling Stones song, but here's a good one:

Here's another Underworld track, used during a scene in the Oscar nominated Tom Cruise film "Vanilla Sky" from 2001 (one of my favorite films):

Finally, my introduction to Underworld was their contribution to a 1996 Japanese video racing game (Wipeout XL) released on CD:
