Yes, those feathers play havoc with the nibs on my fountain pen.....
Who needs a nib? Just pluck a long feather and sharpen the tip... (and watch out for the avenging beak: those penguins can be quite stroppy! ;)

Just add some besans to the grass, to increase the efficiency and volume of the methan production.
It's all about technology advance, to save us from the global warming due to the fossil hydrocarbons.

This instance is fake, but it has been done in the past. The Catholic church sold "Indulgences" for centuries which were essentially tickets into heaven and I am sure many con artist have done something similar. If you can sell the brooklyn bridge (multiple times) anything is possible.
