Allen's hummingbird.
I found this little dude on the pathway in the morning. Was afraid that something might be wrong, but then it warmed up and flew away.

The wife and I were just out in Grand Teton National Park, and per Marshall's suggestion I thought I'd share a few of the photos I took while we were there. Hope you find them enjoyable.

Re: The Great Photography Thread - REVIVED!
Thank you Jim. I can highly recommend you try to get there as it is a stupendous location for being in nature. While much smaller than Yellowstone to its north, there is something special about Grand Teton that keeps luring one back.

Re: The Great Photography Thread - REVIVED!
Ah thanks for posting those pics of Butterfly World . It must be a great place to visit. I haven't seen nice colourful butterflys in my backyard since I was a kid. Its just the brown/black monarch type of butterfly. No great big ones anymore. Of course its probably the poision we all splash about to grow tomatoes etc...Don Alvarez wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 5:14 pm Some highlights from nearby Butterfly World in Coconut Creek.

Mow Cop Castle, a folly at the top of Mow Cop Hill, which has a wonderful view of the Cheshire Plain, with Jodrell Bank Observatory visible ten miles to the North. The first photo was photographed in infrared.

The exhibit supports the research they do. It's on the expensive side probably, but their butterfly aviary is a sight to behold and they have a number of other exhibits as well. I'll likely be going back soon, I think the wife and I will probably spring for the annual pass.Ozypic wrote: ↑Sun Oct 03, 2021 11:14 pmAh thanks for posting those pics of Butterfly World .
I did have your two Australian Finches in my home Aiviary, the Gouldian and the Parson Finches, Only the dedicated members of our local finch club ,that were prepared to keep live termites to feed them were succesful... Phill

Re: The Great Photography Thread - REVIVED!
I was down at the local lake with my grandson the other day. A Wood-duck pair was showing off their brood: I counted 24 ducklings! And I thought one child at a time was bad enough.
In the piccie you can see Dad chasing off another duck at the left, while Mum is keeping an eye on the youngsters.
