I like the Rio Grande color scheme. And it's sad that when UP bought Sufferin Pathetic they quit washing their locos. (I think SP considered dirt and grime to be a paint protectant.)

Hi Tom. Here is a photo of a "Little Joe". During the cold war in the 1950's, our country decided not to sell these General Electric giants to Russia (Joseph Stalin). The Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend and the Milwaukee Road RRs then bought these electrified giants and reworked them for use here in their workshops, and were used into the 1960's. They brought one out one weekend and I caught this picture here.

Thanks for a fun thread Tom, I hope that you enjoy this, and I have more coming when I can find them. (Boy this goes back many years).

Hi Tom and all. I found this in the garage today. Here is an antique kerosene lantern used by the Grand Trunk Western RR at the switch yards near Bridgeview/Chicago many years ago. You can see the GTW on the side of the lantern cover. Left mouse click to increase magnification. I hope that you enjoy this too. (I'm still looking for more old good stuff).
