Took this today during my lunch break around 11:45 AM.

I don't know about snow shovels Juha, but more like you need a snow plough :eek:

I've been using sleigh-shovel (is it?). Good thing I don't have to go to any shops today.
Wouldn't get anywhere without shoveling first.
Also, the snowfall continues with some wind that blows the snow around. Not ideal weather for a nice little stroll.

Hmm, it's not so bad... compared to what's coming. In few hours the worst should be at hand. Much thicker snowfall and 10 m/s wind (18 m/s in gusts).

A couple hours of clear skies before dawn today - just enough to view the conjunction. Cloudy with some fog now. Snow (!) later this week. :Boo: :sigh:

National Weather Service high wind warning over the past 36 hours, some of which showed up with powerful gusts. Now it is pouring.

Even the dog couldn't bear it more than about 5 minutes, even if she wanted out so badly.

1/3 of the yard shoveled. Another 1/3 and I'll be able to go somewhere with the car. If I have the strength, I may be able to do the second 1/3 today, but at that time, the shops are very probably closed, but, maybe, tomorrow...

At first, there was a glimpse of despiration...

That's a starting point to get the sleigh-shovel moving.

At the end of April the naval dark is as dark as it gets.

Clear now, but winds are gusting at 45 mph with 50 mph gusts moving this way.
I think I'll avoid the heavy truck traffic on 294 and take an alternate route home. I don't need a semi-trailer flipping over on me.

Unfortunately those high wind gusts didn't take down the ugly, old willow tree at the end of my street. It would have been even nicer if they had knocked over the larches that block my ESE view. Alas, no joy.

Oh yeah. It should have been half cloudy. I was planning to do some observations with the new scope. It looks like they can use the "half cloudy" to mean that the cloud mattress is only "half-thick". :flame:
