60mph winds and heavy rain here.

We don't have to leave the safety of our house for any reason today, which is fortunate.

Over the next ten days we should have temps bouncing up and down from lower 60s to lower 70s, with 40s overnight, mix of sun and clouds and very little chance of rain.

Weather is getting worse here - we have thunderstorms now, with trees down and power cuts.

This is a result of Storm Claudio.

Sounds from your description like you are visiting my area. We had similar speed winds and flooding rain the last few days. On Sunday night, I had to come back to Canberra. The usual road I use had a sign saying water over road, road closed sign. I had driven in on that road on Saturday morning it was bone dry and there had been no rain. I suspected that some local lads were having some fun. Nonetheless I took the safe 50km detour all weather road. News channels reporting 4 people washed into a river two still missing.

It’s amazing. Authorities put out messages over and over telling people not to drive through flood waters. So many disregard this. Lots of flood related vehicle drownings this year.

It seems that warnings over flooding are ignored everywhere Joe.

Here too, we hear of drivers being stranded in flood water, having to climb out of their vehicles to get to safety or being rescued. Thus putting unnecessary strain, and risk, on the emergency services.

Clear sky this morning, but foggy / misty at ground level. Supposed to hit 70*F this weekend, which is quite warm for this time of year. Forecast to be clear tomorrow AM, so maybe I can get a little time in on winter targets if there's no fog.

Rainfall forecast beginning Monday afternoon, ending mid-day Wednesday, then partly cloudy skies with temps mid-to-upper 60s into the following Tuesday, 40s overnight.
It was clear this evening and I spent some time with the C8 observing Saturn, Jupiter and the rim of a 98% illuminated Moon.

Strong winds (56mph) and rain.

Still quite mild though for this time of year; 14℃ (57.2℉).

Conditions forecast to go right through into the early hours of tomorrow, so very cloudy masking our beautiful skies.

33 degrees right now (Still dark) and partly cloudy is in the forecast. Exciting thing today is that I am getting some snow tires for the vehicle.
