VFR conditions are expected through mid afternoon before an MVFR deck develops toward sunset.
After some spotty -SHRA or -RADZ late this evening and early overnight, a moisture-laden system will quickly spread a
widespread shield of RA into the metro terminals. Conditions will quickly deteriorate prior to daybreak Friday,
with LIFR ceilings and IFR visibility expected from around sunrise through the morning.

About 10 days straight now of broken / overcast skies. Bit of a break this morning, but forecast to cloud up again by nightfall.
Chomping at the bit to try out my new 8x50 RACI finder on some target other than a cell tower.

Yet another overcrap day, but forecast says gradual clearing tonight with a good chance for a few clouds or clear tomorrow morning. Guess I'll have to settle for Spring targets.
High of 51F tomorrow. I'll take it.

We're expecting +38C by mid afternoon. It's been around 40°C maxima all this week. I'll take -6°C over +38°C any day.
I'm in a low humidity area so the evaporative cooling works well inside the house keeping it a pleasant 27°C but it's hard to do much outdoors except early morning and just before sunset.

Looks like the run of 3-4 clear days / nights is coming to an end:
Upper-level clouds will gradually thicken and lower through the next 24-30 hours as a storm system approaches from the west, first affording
a cig near 25kft then toward 10kft by tomorrow morning. [...] Cigs will approach MVFR after 18Z tomorrow [...]

Mother Nature is mixing it up a bit, we received 6 inches of beautiful snow last week.
There, it's pouring rain with a temperature of 47 degrees, so a green Christmas is ahead.
nothing uglier than a green Christmas.

Just had a couple of partly cloudy days that were unseasonably warm, today and tomorrow it will rain with the low temperatures being in the 40's F which is warmer than usual. It will get down to 30 F on Saturday. I think El Nino is having an impact so far.

We have the clouds too. And we have constant over 80% relative humidity causing dripping wet equipment every time. Last night was the first <80% humidity for weeks. But it was cloudy and windy!
Just awoke and looked out of the glass doors at the stars of Taurus and a 40% moon. The rains of last night have passed but still 50% clouds. A fairly pleasant 35 degrees F. So, if it clears more before astronomical dawn I will take out the XLT.
