Districts to the south of me are forecast to have rainfall from 45-55 mm today and at the moment 2 districts to the east are on Level 2 flood alert already.
Going to be a busy day at work I think.

Cleared up just enough early this morning for me to take a quick look to the east with binos. Supposed to be sunny today but clouding up again tonight. It figures.

Cold drizzle and fog. Just enough moisture to bring the dog in with muddy feet. Not enough to refill the reservoirs.

We are getting severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings.

Substitute "Clouds" for "Spam" in the Monty Python song. Even when the lower cloud deck moves out, there's enough cirrus to blot out Polaris. I have to look into getting a remote scope membership again...

So, the rain finally stopped, at least for the next ten days' forecast. Now, highs lower 60s, nights upper 30s, mostly sunny.

If we get no more rain this year it will be OK with me.

25 nights in a row of Himmelscheiss. Forecast called for a couple hours of clear sky early this morning so I set my alarm, but they were wrong. Again.

Aviation weather keeps saying I'm under an inversion layer of some kind.

Add: 12:35 and there must be something wrong with my eyes - I see mostly blue sky! Now who wants to bet it'll be 100% overcast by 1800 tonight?

Aviation weather keeps saying I'm under an inversion layer of some kind.

Add: 12:35 and there must be something wrong with my eyes - I see mostly blue sky! Now who wants to bet it'll be 100% overcast by 1800 tonight?

I'm watching the forecast for clearing get pushed back at each update. Even if it does, sky quality is predicted to be 1/5 because of thermals and a high jet stream.
I'm just going to set the bino's out and wait to see what happens.

Mostly sunny yesterday through the afternoon, stepped outside to watch Tiangong go over around 1810, and was clouded out by 1830.
Supposed to snow tonight into early tomorrow morning.

The cloud gods neglected to read the forecast last night, it never did clear up here. Next possible break is for Thursday night with some sleet/rain in between.
I'll be in Pennsylvania for the weekend where the light pollution is less severe but the weather is usually worse.

It's rather cold here, but just came in from a little Lunar observation with the Mak

The sky filth finally blew out late yesterday afternoon and it was clear last night and early this morning. Of course it was a tropical +1*F last night and now it's clouding over again. I did get some through the window observing / sketching in last night and looked for the comet outside with my 15x70s this morning.

Transparency was poor this morning though so no comet. Usually after a snow and subsequent drop in temp, transparency is quite good so it's a little puzzling.

We have finally got through our 'frost' period for now.

However, we still have some flooding issues from previous rainstorms, so there are road diversions all over the place.

Today has been quite good, with the temperature getting up to a balmy 11℃ (51.8℉), and dry.
