We seem to be getting into a pattern where it's cloudy or mostly cloudy until... dawn. Then it's clear until late afternoon.

About 64 yesterday and sunny. Got a sunburn actually, which was great! Now it's 51 and raining here on an early Monday morning.

Not such a mystery. Southhampton and Nokia are quite close to each other, only about 2000km. Can't be that hard to work out speed, direction and arrival time of storm fronts.

I guess most fronts are basically north-bound, but coriolis turns them here.

Due to a major storm, I am unable to come here every day.
The storm crossed Ontario and Quebec, 10 people died.
the mess will take days to be cleaned up.
the electricity should come back one day.

Severe storms, especially when there is loss of life, are devastating

Yee haw! Airports on ground stop. Tornado warnings up around the area. I think I just missed one - traffic was zipping down the interstate and then suddenly slowed to about 20 mph. I'm wondering if the drivers up ahead saw a funnel and slowed down since there was no sign of a crash.

I exited and ran due west, so I fortunately went in the opposite direction of the storm.
